One Nation One Subscription (ONOS)

The One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative by the Government of India aims to provide nationwide access to high-impact international scholarly journals and research publications for students, faculty, and researchers across higher education and R&D institutions. Inspired by the vision of “Jai Anusandhan” and aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, ONOS supports research-driven growth in the Amrit Kaal.The scheme offers access to over 13,430 e-journals from 32 major international publishers, along with Indian open access journals. It also includes centralized Article Processing Charge (APC) support for selected high-quality open access journals. Additionally, under the Read-and-Publish agreement, institutions gain premium access to the Association for Computing Machinery Digital Library, enabling unlimited open access publishing without APCs for affiliated authors. ONOS is a significant step toward strengthening India’s research ecosystem and achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The Visvesvaraya Technological University Library Consortium provides access to a wide range of e-resources through its dedicated portal for the academic year 2025–26, the VTU Consortium has subscribed to a comprehensive collection of e-journals, e-books, databases, and advanced academic tools and technology platforms. These resources are designed to support the academic and research needs of VTU, its affiliated colleges, and autonomous institutions. The platform enables users to access high-quality digital content, enhancing teaching, learning, and research across various disciplines.
